First off, get started with activating the tweets application on your LinkedIn profile, enabling you to post your LinkedIn status to your twitter followers and vice versa.
Expansion of Connections - Once done with activating the tweet app, check if all your connections are following you on twitter or if your followers are in your LinkedIn network. An easy way to expand and gain visibility.
